The course objective is to encourage and develop fire safety training delegates confidence, ability and understanding in matters of Fire Safety, in order to deal with workplace Fire Safety issues, arrangements, detection and facilities.
The Fire Warden course covers the following and is a half day course:-
- Fire precaution/health & safety legislation
- Identifying basic fire hazards and risks in the workplace
- Statistics and Home Fire Safety
- Controlling fire risks
- Human Behaviour
- General fire preventive measures
- Evacuation procedures/means of escape
- Triangle of combustion and Fire Spread
- Classes of fire and methods of extinction - Fire Extinguishers
- The role and responsibility of the Fire Warden
