Our CDM Services
Since CDM was introduced in 1994, CRS has been at the forefront of construction site safety. The first CDM project in the UK was in Telford, when GKN Defence wanted a new warehouse for its 'Warrior' contract with Kuwait after the Gulf war.
We notified the project to HSE, prepared the pre-construction phase health and safety plan, and worked with the Principal Contractor and Designer to co-ordinate safety on site by assisting with the construction phase plans. There were no lost time injuries, and the project was completed on time and on budget.
We continue to provide services as CDM Co-ordinator, and have worked with Rothmans (tobacco), Coca Cola (beverages), and Texo Building Services (construction refurbishment) in recent years.
Our Construction Training
We provide a wide range of construction training services to the major construction contractors, as well as to the tier suppliers. We have proudly supplied CITB-ConstructionSkills SMSTS and SSSTS training across the London 2012 Olympic Park. CRS is an approved provider (registration number 490) of the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. We can provide this in-house on dates of your choice, or through our nationwide programme of open courses.
Internationally, we provide the 'Contractor Safety Management' (HS46) and 'Construction and Demolition Safety' (HS48) classes to the PetroSkills alliance, which includes Shell, BP, ChevronTexaco, and Saudi Aramco.
Our Other Construction Services
We assisted organisations such as Honeywell, Trend Controls, and Gent with approvals with CHAS, SAFE Contractor, Constructionline and BuildingConfidence. We've assisted with '000s of PQQ and tenders and helped to secure £Ms of construction orders as a result of our involvement.
We've done liability surveys and HSE audits at such diverse construction sites as the Clyde wind farm and the A1 widening at Leeming Bar. CRS provides construction auditors to Achilles to conduct 'BuildingConfidence' construction supplier assessments used by Balfour Beatty, Bovis, Costain, Kier, Mace, Skanska, and Tarmac. We have conducted hundreds of these audits across the UK, providing our expert opinion on construction risks.
Our Experience
Fulfilling the role of Planning Supervisor from 1994-2007, and the CDM Co-ordinator since 2007, CRS has developed expert construction safety management skills. We train the workers from the ground to the roof; and their supervisors, managers and directors.
Our senior consultant Stephen Asbury was nominated to represent IOSH as its judge of the 2009 and 2010 ODA (Olympic Delivery Authority) HSE Awards, co-ordinated by British Safety Council. We're the team you can trust to advise your construction works
