The NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate, commonly referred to as the NEBOSH Fire Certificate, was designed for those embarking on a role with fire safety responsibility and aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventive and protective measures within most workplaces.

The syllabus is based on National Occupational Standards in Fire Safety at level 3, which has common units with the Emergency Fire Services National Occupational Standards.  Therefore the NEBOSH Fire Certificate may also be of benefit to fire service personnel developing their underpinning knowledge as part of the Integrated Personal Development System.

The first unit of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate is drawn from the management of health and safety aspects of the NEBOSH General Certificate and is examined by the management paper from the NEBOSH General Certificate.  Those who have achieved the National General Certificate or passed Paper A1 within the last 5 years will only have to take and pass the second Unit of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate, and the Fire Practical Assessment to achieve this qualification.

On completion of the NEBOSH Fire Certificate course, delegates will be able to interpret Fire Safety Legislation and its requirements, implement an effective Fire Safety Management structure and control major fire hazards by setting up a programme of inspections and audits, confidently conduct effective Fire Risk Assessments and maintain fire records Assessment is by a written examination, and a practical assessment.

Our course fees are £1299+ VAT if you wish to take the NEBOSH Fire Certificate and the NEBOSH General Certificate Management week course, or £699 + VAT if you wish to take the NEBOSH Fire Certificate in isolation. (London prices are £100 more)
